CDL Violations
A CDL suspension can really cost you
We understand that your career may depend upon you maintaining your Ohio CDL license. You cannot afford to deal with an Ohio CDL violation or suspension if you are a trucker, delivery vehicle, moving company, construction truck, school bus driver, or work for a utility company. With over 30 years of experience and in depth knowledge of Ohio CDL laws, Gregory Mathews will work to protect your CDL and keep you on the road. Gregory Mathews understands the difficulties that CDL drivers have to contend with on today’s roadways. He has represented CDL license holders and trucking corporations in a wide range of cdl traffic violations, including: OVI/DUI, excessive speed, driving under suspension, traffic accidents, load limit, overweight violations, driving without a valid CDL license, leaving the scene of an accident, speeding in a construction zone, and other Ohio CDL violations.
In Ohio, a CDL holder will be subject to serious penalties for traffic violations that can result in suspensions, revocations, and expensive fines.
Ohio CDL Suspension
A CDL driver is subject to stricter requirements of law than an ordinary passenger license in Ohio. For example, the blood alcohol content limit for an OVI or DUI while operating under a CDL is (one half) that for a regular license. Further, if you have a CDL license and you are convicted for OVI or DUI, from operating a commercial vehicle or in your own private vehicle on your own time, you will receive a mandatory one (1) year license suspension.
CDL drivers may have their license terminated or suspended for a wide range of violations, including, but not limited to the following:
