You must be aware, that driving while under a suspended license or under an OVI or DUI suspension is a serious offense. It is a misdemeanor of the first degree, with penalties up to 6 months in jail and up to $1,000.00 and additional suspensions to your license. Multiple violations for driving under a suspension will result in your car possibly being immobilized or even seized by the State of Ohio. Further, additional suspensions shall be imposed. A few examples as set forth below.

DRIVING UNDER A DUI OR OVI SUSPENSION
Penalties up to 6 months in jail, $1,000 fine, and one year license suspension

DRIVING WITHOUT INSURANCE
Penalties of up to 6 months in jail and $1,000 fine

License Suspensions
First Offense: 90 Days
Second Offense (in 5 Years): 1 Year
Third Offense (in 5 Years): 2 Years

DRIVING UNDER FRA SUSPENSION OR CANCELLATION
Penalties up to 6 months in jail, $1,000 fine, and one year license suspension
